The English bulldog is a descendant of the ancient mastiff and though it physically looks smaller, it is masculine with a wide and compact body as well as a thick massive head. To understand how to keep English Bulldogs healthy, one needs to understand the health status that pertains to the different breeds of dogs, their living conditions, grooming and the recommended foods.

One of the most regular health problems regarding English Bulldogs is connected to breathing due to its small windpipes. Their eyesight is poor and due to their increased risk of suffering heat strokes, one should never leave them in a hot car or room. For a healthy English Bulldog, mild climatic conditions are recommended and though they should be bathed when necessary, one should use damp cloths to wipe their faces to ensure the inside part of the wrinkles is clean. Due to their large head size, the delivery of bulls should be through C-section.

Although the English bulldog prefers to stay indoors, they still require some exercise to use up the stored energy. Since they are fairly lazy and cannot do much exercise, food intake should be regulated to avoid cases of obesity due to overfeeding. Learning about things like how far to walk your puppy and/or fully grown dog should be done by all responsible owners.

Looking after English BullDogs can be a challenge, but many thousands of people manage it, so I’m sure you can too! Here are some tips for looking after English BullDogs:

English BullDogs should be fed in the morning and the evening, with some fairly light exercise in between during the day. Some English BullDogs have allergies and so be sure to feed them special food if they need it.

Fold dermatitis is a problem with English BullDogs and so to stop it you need to clean them every day. Only buy English BullDogs if you are sure you are ready to clean them every day! Also they are lazy dogs and they like a comfy place to relax (and mostly just sleep!) all day.

When your dog is a young pupppy they can learn things by watching what you are doing. This means you have to be careful what you do around the bulldog puppy. For example you may like weeding your garden, but to the bulldog you may be teaching them how to dig holes all over your garden.

We are going to have various sections on this Website. The main homepage will be a blog, with resources and news posted regularly on it. We will also have resource pages and a store for buying dog accessories for your English bulldog.

If you own an English bulldog do send pictures of you and your fantastic animal in and you can even send in articles about them if you want to. They will be published for everyone who visits this site to see!
